Courts.ie Updates: Jury Notices, Dublin Family Law Closures and Judgment Services

Courts.ie has announced jury service changes, Dublin family law court cancellations and the restoration of its online judgments service.

Courts.ie has issued several important updates for court users across Ireland, including changes to jury service, temporary Dublin family law court cancellations and the return of online judgments. The notices, published between 26 and 30 October 2026, affect people attending courthouses and accessing court information online.

Courts.ie updates for jury service and hearings

The latest Courts.ie updates include changes in Galway and Waterford. Jurors scheduled to attend Galway Courthouse on Monday 2 November 2026 are no longer required to attend.

In Waterford, Jury Panel 47 has had its service date changed. People originally summonsed for 2 November must now attend on Wednesday 4 November at 10.30am. Anyone affected should check their summons and the official Courts Service information before travelling.

A special sitting of Tullamore Circuit Court was also scheduled for Tuesday 27 October to deal with criminal and other business returned for the venue.

Courts.ie updates on Dublin family law services

Dublin’s Dolphin House District Court Family Law Courts 40 and 49 were unable to sit on 27, 28, 29 and 30 October. Despite the cancellations, the office remained open and continued to prioritise domestic violence applications.

The notice highlights the importance of checking court communications before attending a hearing. Family law matters can be sensitive and time-critical, particularly where safety concerns or urgent applications are involved.

Judgments and Determinations service restored

The Courts Service announced that Judgments and Determinations were available again on Courts.ie on 28 October. A new service has been introduced to provide a more accessible and secure way for court users to access more than 22,000 judgments, attachments and determinations.

The announcement followed essential unplanned maintenance that temporarily left the Judgments and Determinations Register offline. The restored service is significant for legal professionals, journalists, researchers and members of the public seeking published court decisions.

What court users should do

  • Confirm jury service dates before attending.
  • Check whether a scheduled hearing has been cancelled or moved.
  • Use official Courts Service channels for the latest operational notices.
  • Allow time to access documents through the updated judgments service.

Irish justice information and public services

Courts.ie is part of Ireland’s public justice infrastructure and works within the wider state system alongside the Department of Justice, the Courts Service, An Garda Síochána and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. Official notices are particularly important when court sittings, jury panels or online records change at short notice.
