AI Infrastructure: Irish Companies Secure Major US Expansion Deals

Irish companies announce major US contracts, partnerships and expansion plans as AI infrastructure drives demand for technology and construction expertise.

AI infrastructure is reshaping the American economy, creating fresh demand for power systems, data centres, engineering and specialist technology. During an Enterprise Ireland and IDA Ireland trade mission, Irish companies announced new contracts, partnerships and investment plans across Texas and Southern California.

Led by Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment Peter Burke TD, the mission involved 30 Enterprise Ireland client companies. Fourteen businesses announced commercial developments spanning high-tech construction, semiconductors, healthcare, advanced manufacturing, cybersecurity and enterprise software.

AI infrastructure drives Irish business growth in the US

One of the most significant announcements came from Dublin-based LPI Group, which plans to create 250 jobs in the United States over the next five years. The company supplies lightning protection, grounding and surge-protection systems for data centres, renewable energy projects and other critical infrastructure.

Enterprise Ireland said the expansion reflects growing US demand for electrical safety and resilience as investment in AI infrastructure accelerates. LPI Group already holds UL and IEC certifications, supporting its plans to expand services for American customers.

The wider Irish high-tech construction sector includes more than 180 companies, supports over 35,000 jobs and generated €6.62 billion in global exports during 2025. Approximately €2.1 billion of that activity was linked to data centres.

New contracts and partnerships

Other announcements included:

  • Akara partnering with Servicon to introduce room sensors and AI analytics across eight to nine hospitals in Southern California.
  • SilverBack Staffing forming a partnership with 21st Century Ops in Texas.
  • Ralco supporting US construction projects involving H&V Engineering and LPI Group with its AI-based workforce compliance platform.
  • Enovus Labs collaborating with Skylark Wireless on thermal design for advanced radio equipment.
  • ControlSoft opening an innovation centre in Dundalk focused on semiconductor automation and software.
  • Madcraft planning 20 new jobs across Ireland and the US as demand grows for AI implementation and digital transformation.

Combilift, Kefron AP, Cora Systems, Sisterly, Harmony Medical, W4 Games and several other Irish companies also announced new business, funding, partnerships or expansion activity.

Texas and California offer strategic opportunities

The trade mission included engagements in Dallas, Austin, San Diego and Los Angeles with technology companies, manufacturers and industry leaders. In Texas, Irish businesses showcased capabilities in workforce technology, immersive digital experiences, quantum computing and advanced engineering through collaborations with Dell Technologies and other organisations.

In Southern California, the delegation focused on semiconductors, cybersecurity, healthcare, enterprise technology and food innovation. Companies including Kerry Group, Nearform, Tines, Darkhunt, Origina and Akara participated in meetings and sector events.

Enterprise Ireland described the United States as a critical market for its client companies. The organisation said Irish businesses continue to invest, hire and pursue long-term partnerships despite a more complex international trading environment.

What the expansion means for Ireland

The announcements underline how Irish expertise is supporting major global infrastructure projects. From electrical protection and cooling systems to automation, healthcare analytics and cybersecurity, companies are targeting specialised areas where technical capability is essential.

Enterprise Ireland and IDA Ireland’s trade mission also demonstrates the role of government-backed commercial support in helping Irish firms identify customers, develop partnerships and establish operations overseas. Organisations including IDA Ireland, Enterprise Ireland and relevant government departments remain central to Ireland’s trade and investment strategy.

Conclusion

The rapid expansion of AI infrastructure is opening substantial opportunities for Irish companies in the US. LPI Group’s planned 250 jobs, alongside 13 other company announcements, shows how Irish engineering, technology and construction expertise is converting international demand into contracts, investment and employment. The key takeaway is clear: AI infrastructure is becoming an important engine of Irish export growth and global business expansion.
