AI Infrastructure: Irish Companies Secure Major US Expansion Deals

Irish companies announce major US contracts, partnerships and expansion plans as AI infrastructure drives demand for data centres and engineering.

AI infrastructure is reshaping demand for data centres, power systems, engineering and advanced technology across the United States—and Irish companies are moving quickly to capture the opportunity. During an Enterprise Ireland and IDA Ireland trade mission, 14 client companies announced new contracts, partnerships and expansion plans across Texas and Southern California.

AI Infrastructure Drives Irish Business Growth in America

The trade mission, led by Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment Peter Burke TD, brings together 30 Enterprise Ireland client companies seeking new commercial opportunities in one of Ireland’s most important international markets.

Announcements span high-tech construction, semiconductors, healthcare technology, cybersecurity, digital transformation, advanced manufacturing and enterprise software. The programme includes meetings and industry engagements in Dallas, Austin, San Diego and Los Angeles.

Enterprise Ireland says the United States’ expanding AI infrastructure ecosystem is creating opportunities for Irish firms with specialist expertise in:

  • Data-centre engineering and construction
  • Electrical protection, grounding and resilience
  • Semiconductor automation and software
  • Power management and thermal engineering
  • Cybersecurity and digital transformation

LPI Group to create 250 US jobs

One of the most significant announcements comes from Dublin-headquartered LPI Group, which plans to create 250 new jobs in the United States over the next five years. The company supplies lightning-protection, grounding and surge-protection systems for data centres, renewable energy projects and other critical infrastructure.

LPI Group already holds UL and IEC certifications, supporting its plans to expand its electrical safety offering across the American market.

Irish Technology and Construction Deals Across the US

Other developments announced during the mission include an agreement between healthcare technology company Akara and US environmental services provider Servicon. The partnership will introduce Akara’s room sensors and AI analytics to eight or nine public and private hospitals in Southern California over the next 12 to 18 months.

ControlSoft is opening an innovation centre in Dundalk focused on AI, automation and semiconductor software, while continuing to assess further US expansion after establishing an Oregon office. Ralco is also supporting US projects involving H&MV Engineering and LPI Group through its AI-enabled workforce compliance platform.

Additional companies announcing US activity include Combilift, Kefron AP, Madcraft, Cora Systems, W4 Games, Harmony Medical, Sisterly and Enovus Labs. Their projects demonstrate the breadth of Irish commercial capability, from accounts-payable automation and medical devices to thermal management and gaming technology.

Enterprise Ireland Highlights High-Tech Construction Strength

Enterprise Ireland’s high-tech construction sector includes more than 180 companies, supports over 35,000 jobs and generated €6.62 billion in global exports in 2025. Approximately €2.1 billion was linked to data-centre activity.

A Dallas roundtable will bring together Irish companies including H&MV Engineering, LPI Group, ControlSoft, SilverBack Staffing, Ralco, GridBeyond, CameraMatics and Cora Systems to examine US demand for power, engineering, digital systems and specialist construction services.

In Texas, companies including Workhuman, Equal1, Imvizar and Enovus Labs will also highlight collaborations with Dell Technologies in workforce technology, immersive experiences, quantum computing and engineering.

Enterprise Ireland CEO Jenny Melia said Irish companies continue to invest, hire and win business in the United States despite a more complex global trading environment. Texas and Southern California are emerging as particularly important markets for AI infrastructure, advanced manufacturing and enterprise technology.

The Southern California programme also features cybersecurity, healthcare, food innovation and semiconductor engagements involving companies such as Kerry Group, Nearform, Tines, Darkhunt and Origina.

With new contracts, partnerships and expansion plans being converted into jobs and investment, the mission underlines how Irish companies are using specialist expertise to build long-term international growth.

Key Takeaway

The rapid expansion of AI infrastructure in the United States is opening a major commercial pathway for Irish construction, engineering and technology companies. LPI Group’s planned 250 US jobs, alongside 13 other company announcements, show how Enterprise Ireland-supported firms are turning global demand into measurable growth.
