America’s accelerating investment in artificial intelligence infrastructure is creating a major commercial opening for Irish companies. During an Enterprise Ireland and IDA Ireland trade mission, firms announced new contracts, partnerships, expansion plans and job creation across construction, engineering, healthcare technology and enterprise software.
The mission, led by Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment Peter Burke, brought 30 Enterprise Ireland client companies to Texas and Southern California. Fourteen companies announced developments, highlighting how demand for data centres, power systems, semiconductors and specialist technology is translating into international growth.
AI infrastructure drives fresh expansion
Dublin-based LPI Group is among the biggest beneficiaries of this trend. The electrical safety specialist plans to create 250 jobs in the United States over the next five years, serving growing demand for lightning protection, grounding and surge-protection systems in data centres, renewable energy projects and other critical infrastructure.
The wider opportunity reflects Ireland’s established expertise in high-tech construction. The sector includes more than 180 companies, supports over 35,000 jobs and generated €6.62 billion in global exports during 2025. Approximately €2.1 billion of that activity was connected to data centres.
Companies including H&MV Engineering, ControlSoft, SilverBack Staffing, Ralco, GridBeyond, CameraMatics and Cora Systems are exploring opportunities connected to power, workforce compliance, automation, project management and digital infrastructure.
New partnerships span technology and healthcare
The announcements extend beyond construction. Irish healthcare technology company Akara is partnering with Servicon to roll out room-sensor and AI analytics technology across eight to nine hospitals in Southern California over the next 12 to 18 months. The project follows a successful trial at a Los Angeles hospital and aims to improve efficiency and clinical-space management.
Other developments include:
- Enovus Labs is contributing thermal-design expertise to Skylark Wireless technology in Houston.
- ControlSoft is opening an innovation centre in Dundalk focused on AI, automation and semiconductor software.
- Kefron AP is expanding its US presence from Texas following customer growth across North America.
- Madcraft plans to create 20 jobs in Ireland and the United States as demand rises for digital transformation and AI implementation.
- W4 Games is using an $18 million Series B funding round to support international expansion and its enterprise offering.

Why Texas and California matter
Texas offers strong links to technology, manufacturing, energy and data-centre investment. Delegates met organisations including Dell Technologies and Flex, while Irish companies Workhuman, Equal1, Imvizar and Enovus Labs showcased existing collaborations.
Southern California provides access to semiconductor, cybersecurity, healthcare and enterprise-technology networks. The delegation also highlighted Ireland’s growing economic relationship with Los Angeles County, where Irish-owned businesses support thousands of jobs.
Enterprise Ireland CEO Jenny Melia said the United States remains a critical market for client companies, despite a more complex global trading environment. The latest announcements suggest Irish firms are responding by building partnerships, hiring locally and establishing longer-term operations.

What the expansion means for Irish business
The developments demonstrate that Irish expertise is increasingly embedded in the infrastructure supporting the AI economy. Opportunities are emerging not only for software developers, but also for electrical specialists, engineers, manufacturers, recruiters, healthcare innovators and professional-services firms.
For smaller companies, the trade mission also shows the value of entering the US through partnerships and targeted regional networks rather than attempting immediate nationwide expansion. Texas and Southern California each offer distinct customer bases, investment ecosystems and sector strengths.
