The Digital Hub Dublin is bringing technology, creativity and community together through a packed programme of Culture Night 2026 activities and a new AI residency opportunity. Located in the historic Liberties, the campus will host exhibitions, music, photography and sustainable community events while inviting applications for an ambitious four-month programme focused on AI learning.

On Friday, 18 September, visitors can explore a range of free and community-focused events across The Digital Hub campus. The programme reflects Dublin 8’s growing role as a centre for creative technology, culture and local participation.
Electronic music and synthesiser showcase
Bloop Groop Dublin will host an interactive evening dedicated to synthesiser history and electronic music at Studio 2, 10–13 Thomas Street. Running from 5pm to 10.15pm, the event includes demonstrations, hardware sessions and live performances from resident artists. The programme also features Arturia’s 2026 World Tour, alongside contributions from experienced educators and musicians.
Photography exhibition at Digital Depot
Dublin Camera Club will present members’ portfolios at Digital Depot from 5pm to 9pm. The exhibition marks the organisation’s 80th year and offers visitors an opportunity to discover work from photographers with varied interests and experience levels.
Clothes swap and creative scrap store
Change Clothes Dublin will run two late-night activities from 4pm to 9pm. Visitors can take part in a clothes swap by bringing up to five items in good condition, while the Scrap Store will offer affordable materials for sewing, crafting and upcycling.

AI for Communities residency open call
The Digital Hub is also seeking individuals or multidisciplinary teams for “AI for Communities – Empowering People Through AI”. The four-month residency will develop and pilot a community-centred approach to AI literacy, learning and engagement.
Applicants may have experience in areas including:
- Artificial intelligence and emerging technologies
- Community engagement and education
- Digital innovation or social innovation
- AI literacy and facilitation
The selected resident designer or facilitator will receive a fee of €12,000, inclusive of VAT. Applications must be submitted by 23:59 Irish time on Friday, 9 October 2026.
