The Farnborough trade mission is designed to connect Irish companies with global customers, supply chain partners and leading aerospace decision-makers. Ireland’s presence at the event focuses on strengths in:

Ireland’s aerospace sector by the numbers
The figures behind the Farnborough trade mission show why the sector matters. Ireland’s aerospace, aviation and space industries contribute about €4.6 billion to the economy and support roughly 44,000 full-time jobs.

Euram expansion adds jobs and strengthens Offaly aviation hub
A key announcement tied to the Farnborough trade mission comes from Euram, the Offaly-based specialist in aircraft engine maintenance, disassembly, repair and overhaul services. The company plans to create 45 new high-skilled jobs by 2027, effectively doubling its workforce.
Euram has already completed a new 20,000 sq. ft. MRO facility, started building an 11,000 sq. ft. warehouse and is planning a further 64,000 sq. ft. expansion. The development reflects rising global demand for specialist aviation services and strengthens County Offaly’s standing as an international aviation services location.
The jobs story will be watched closely across agencies and departments linked to regional development and workforce planning, including Social Protection, Education, Rural and Community Development, and the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) where employment standards and workplace frameworks matter to growing firms.
