Enterprise Ireland AI Accelerator: New Startup Ireland Programme Launches

Ireland is stepping up its role in the global artificial intelligence race. Enterprise Ireland has announced the Startup Ireland AI Accelerator Programme, a specialist initiative designed to help promising Irish AI startups build, secure investment and expand internationally.

The announcement was made on 14 October 2026 at the International AI Summit. Delivered by Dogpatch Labs, the programme is the first specialist accelerator launched under Startup Ireland’s €21 million National Accelerator Programme.

Enterprise Ireland AI Accelerator brings major technology partners together

The Enterprise Ireland AI Accelerator will connect selected founders with more than 30 technology, investment and ecosystem partners. Participating technology partners include Analog Devices, Anthropic, Amazon, Crusoe, ElevenLabs, Fin, Google, Microsoft, NVIDIA, OpenAI, Stripe and Vanta.

Ten companies will take part in the 12-week, non-equity programme. Each startup will receive a named technical lead and at least three hours of one-to-one engineering support every week. Founders will also receive guidance on product development, fundraising, customer access and international expansion.

  • Direct access to technical and engineering expertise
  • Connections with domestic and international customers
  • Investor preparation for seed and Series A funding
  • Potential access to more than €1 million in technology and cloud credits
  • Support from Irish and international AI ecosystem partners

International exposure through Paris visit

The programme includes a two-day international trip to Paris, one of Europe’s leading AI centres. Participating founders will meet investors, customers and AI entrepreneurs, including through F/ai Deal Day at STATION F.

IDA Ireland and Enterprise Ireland target global growth

Enterprise Ireland and IDA Ireland will work together to connect accelerator companies with multinational businesses in Ireland and overseas. The collaboration is intended to create opportunities for technical collaboration, commercial partnerships and potential customer relationships.

Enterprise Ireland said the initiative will bring Ireland’s startup and multinational sectors closer together, while IDA Ireland described it as a way to strengthen the country’s AI ecosystem and help emerging companies compete globally.

Dogpatch Labs is delivering the accelerator, supported by a wider regional network that includes CeADAR, ICHEC, Trinity College Dublin, University College Dublin, ESB, Iarnród Éireann, PorterShed, RDI Hub, Republic of Work and Transport Infrastructure Ireland.

Startup Ireland’s wider national ambitions

What the AI accelerator means for Irish startups

The Enterprise Ireland AI Accelerator is structured to address several challenges faced by early-stage technology companies: access to specialist talent, computing infrastructure, customers and growth capital. By combining engineering support with investor preparation and multinational connections, the programme offers founders a practical route from product development to international market entry.

It also reflects Ireland’s broader effort to build a stronger innovation economy around artificial intelligence, research, enterprise partnerships and export-led growth.

Conclusion

The Enterprise Ireland AI Accelerator gives ten Irish AI startups access to technical expertise, commercial networks, investment preparation and international opportunities. Its success could help strengthen Ireland’s position as a base for globally ambitious AI companies and advance Startup Ireland’s wider national goals.
